This is what a Manufacturer in Belgium is experiencing since the installation of an INDEVA manipulator of the Liftronic Series.
The automotive industry is known to be a highly demanding sector. This company in Belgium has asked our distributor RDL Engineering for a solution for handling floor coverings from racks to SILS carts in a safe and ergonomic way.
The specific challenge was the large dimensions of the carpets (2 m x 2 m), their weight (35 kg) and the large working area (15 m x 12.5 m).
Solution
RDL Engineering has satisfactorily met this challenge with the installation of an INDEVA manipulator, overhead rail mounted Liftronic Easy, complete with a special gripper; the work cycle includes picking the carpets from the racks, placing them on the carts and picking the empty frames from the carts.
We mounted the INDEVA manipulator to rails with a 12 m span.
All requirements have been met:
- Safety: in case of power failure carpets will not slip out of the gripper.
- Ergonomics: thanks to the electronic control an INDEVA manipulator allows for very smooth, fast and precise movements, thus effortless handling of heavy and bulky loads.
- Productivity: this INDEVA solution has increased productivity and work efficiency significantly.
